After a survey earlier in the year, it is currently looking like we will not be participating in the following events this year.  The Catalina Crossing will be considered if there is enough interest just before the event.

Catalina Crossing  - This 24-26 mile race from Newport to Catalina has the option to participation or race competitively. Teams are mixed men and women.

Na Pali Challenge -  This 37 mile race down the Napali coast has the option to participation or race competitively. Teams are mixed men and women

Queen Lili  - On the big island of Hawaii, this 18 mile race goes from Kailua to Honaunau with Mens, Womens and mixed boat crews.

Molokai Hoe - This 38+ mile race crosses the Ka`iwi Channel from Molokai to Oahu. This race is demanding, so needs to have a strong race crew.  Can be either Men or Women as the races are run at different times.

• Duel in the Desert Penticton - May 13

Mixed - 1st place - Gord P, Melissa M, Deb H, Candace B, Dave, Marcus

Men's - 3rd place - Bob W, Rick T, Dennis, Kim D, Jenn H, Larry B

• Ski to Sea - Bellingham, WA - May 28/23 - 50th Year Team Relay Race - 450 teams -Team BIRCH EQUIPMENT - Glenn B, Bob W - 1st overall and 1st place Canoe Leg
  Team FASTER BAKERS - Marcus B - 21st in Nordic Skiing Leg - Larry B & Kim D - 24th in Canoe Leg

• Gorge Outrigger Canoe Race - Hood River, Oregon - July 8
  VPC OC6 team members - Rick T, Kim D, Candace B, Marcus B, Bob W, Tim T - finished 25 out of 33 boats

• Gorge Downwind Championships - Hood River, Oregon

Surfski - Bob W - finished 16 out of 49 in age category

OC1 - Marcus B - finished 22 out of 68 in age category

• Vernon Freshwater Challenge - August 6th - CANCELLED due to wildfire smoke

• Length of the Lake - CANCELLED for 2023 - coming September 2024

• Catalina Channel Crossing - US Outrigger Championship - Sept 10/23
  9 member change race - Team Pac Northwest - 1st place Men Golden Masters UL -  Bob W

• Skaha Downwind - Skaha Lake - Sep 24, 2023
  Bob W - 1st place overall - Surfski

2017 - Outrigger Nationals 12.5 k short course at Harrison Lake - Vernon Paddling Club takes both Gold and Silver Results here
